Pursuant to Executive Order N-25-20, Committee meetings will take place via teleconference to adhere to the orders and guidance of state and local public health officials relating to COVID-19. During the COVID-19 public health crisis, members of the public will be provided means to log-in to virtual meetings of the Committee in order to monitor meetings and make comment. Members of the public are also encouraged to submit written comment electronically to up to 72-hours prior to the meeting to allow Committee Members time to review the comments in advance. Past Subcommittee Meetings: Priority One

Subcommittee No. One: First Generation/Low Income Students

Subcommittee No. One's focus was on the following elements and their inclusion in the supplemental allocation of the SCFF including a proposed implementation plan:

  • First-generation college students, including a timeline for data collection and incorporation into the funding formula by no later than the 2022–23 fiscal year.

  • The definition of a low-income student and whether to adjust the point system to better reflect low-income students in regions of the state with a high cost of living.

Subcommittee No. Two: Level of Academic Proficiency

Subcommittee No. Two's focus was on the following elements and their inclusion in the supplemental allocation of the SCFF including a proposed implementation plan:

  • Incoming students’ level of academic proficiency, which may include, but is not limited to, measures such as performance on a nationally recognized high school assessment, high school coursework, high school grades or grade point average, or achievement of a high school diploma.
